The eight months following our election has been a gruelling period spent filling in the administrative gaps of the last few years.
We’ve focused on increasing the NDATT’s visibility and presence on the various media platforms through the use of #IamNDATT, locating an office for the Association at the Trinidad Theatre Workshop, showing the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts that NDATT is ready for the current environment despite being dormant for the past few years, designing programmes to benefit the Association and its members and supporting strategic projects that required urgent assistance on short notice such as the New Play Festival 2017 and Design For Performance TT, which gave NDATT an opportunity to develop a relationship with UTT and a pool of potential members and future theatre practitioners.
Having done all of that, we are FINALLY ready and able to officially recruit for the various Committees of the NDATT!
When we came into office, we did not inherit an internal organisational structure that would aid the NDATT in fulfilling its statutory mandate in 2017 and beyond. We went through a period of testing, in which some of you were unofficially engaged to assist, and we’ve decided to move forward with the following four main Committees for the remainder of our term in office.

(a) Membership Assistance Team
(b) NDATT Members Volunteer Network Team
(c) Resource Managing and Monitoring Team

(a) Workshops Facilitation Team
(b) Public Education Team
(c) Skills (Business and Technical) Development Team
4) Public Relations Committee
(a) On Stage! Team
(b) Traditional Media, Speeches and Press Releases Team
(c) Social Media Team
(d) Website Team
(e) Events Team
Each Committee and each team has a “Terms of Reference” to guide its work in the NDATT’s next financial year, running April 2018 to March 2019. We have A LOT to do and need a wide range of skill sets!
